NTT Com to Expand Arcstar Global IP-VPN in US, Launch New POP in Europe

(Business News & Technology News, 2 Jul 2009)

NTT Communications (NTT Com) announced that it will expand its Arcstar Global IP-VPN service to the US cities of Atlanta, Georgia on July 1 and Denver, Colorado in the fall. The company also announced plans to introduce Arcstar Global IP-VPN point of presence (POP) at its premium data centers in London on July 1 and Paris in the fall.

Arcstar Global IP-VPN, a managed network service for enterprise customers, is currently available in 159 countries. Targets of the expansion include global companies headquartered in the US Southeast and call centers and R&D facilities in the US Midwest. Applications will be accepted in Atlanta from July 1 and in Denver from around August.

The Arcstar Global IP-VPN POP will be provided at the London Slough Data Center and the Paris Saint-Denis Data Center, which NTT Com recently expanded floor space. NTT Com also offers conventional POP in these cities. The new locations both are Tier III level data centers offering co-location, hosting and IT management, including system integration, hardware operation and maintenance, monitoring and security management. The new POP will provide direct connection from the data centers to NTT Com's global IP-VPN, including for flexible incorporation of the network in global IT solutions for data center customers. Applications will be accepted in London from July 1 and in Paris from around August.
